Mimosa pudica, also known as touch-me-not, shame plant, or sensitive plant, is the source of BioPure Mimosa - a powdered form of the whole plant. This plant is renowned for its ability to fold up when touched or disturbed. Ayurvedic practitioners have traditionally utilized Mimosa pudica to address a wide range of issues, from gastrointestinal problems to gynecological and urinary complaints, toothaches, and fatigue. Recent findings indicate that Mimosa pudica offers targeted gastrointestinal support.*
When ingested, the polysaccharide-rich mucilage produced by the Mimosa pudica plant adheres to toxins, debris, and unwanted substances, and subsequently eliminates them from the body via the gastrointestinal tract. BioPure Mimosa supports microbiome balance, gastrointestinal health, and overall gastrointestinal function.
To ensure sustainability, we source our wildcrafted Mimosa pudica from various regions in the Northern part of India, harvesting it between January and March. Our extraction process utilizes a hydro-ethanolic method and a pulverizer to create a 10:1 ratio powder, meaning that 10 grams of raw plant material is used to produce 1 gram of the final extract. Individuals can take up to 1/4 teaspoon of the Mimosa powder twice daily, mixed with cold or hot filtered water, juice, smoothies, applesauce, yogurt, or their preferred beverage.
